Pisco Group is a Danish-based company established in 2017 offering aquaculture consultancy, based on many years of combined experience in the industry.

We work and engage in international projects with stakeholders across the industry - fish farmers, equipment and technology manufacturers, software providers, technological and biological start-ups, governments, non-profit organisations, universities, equity funds and other consultancy companies.

Many land-based RAS growout farms have overestimated their performance and failed to generate the expected returns. A significant share produce only ~60% of their plan, causing direct impact on revenues and profits.

What these projects share is a lack of adequate technical and biological assumptions or due diligence, coupled with unrealistic operational and business strategies — often built on inflated production plans.

The root cause is typically limited expertise in specifying and evaluating the species-specific biological, technical and operational requirements that underpin the production plan, the concept design, and ultimately the entire business case.
